Supremix Summer

Supremix Summer is designed for beef cows on poor to average quality pasture. Feed during early gestation, about three to four weeks after bull turnout, then move to Step 2: Supremix Winter.

Supremix Winter

Step 2 of the Saltec Supremix Complete Beef Program. Formulated with higher levels of calcium, Supremix Winter provides balanced vitamin and mineral nutrition to cattle being fed a grain or low-quality harvested forage diet. Fortified with chelated copper, zinc, manganese, and selenium, this premix is beneficial for providing cattle with key nutrients to maximize production during harsh winter conditions. Begin feeding during mid-gestation and continue until three to four weeks prior to calving, moving to Step 3: Supremix Breeder.

Feed at 75 to 100 grams per head per day.

Supremix Breeder

Formulated to help pregnant cattle prepare for the calving season. High levels of minerals and vitamins ensure health issues caused by calving (retained placentas, milk tetany, poor milk quality/ production) are prevented and cattle remain in good health status. Fortified with chelated copper, zinc, manganese, and selenium, this premix ensures cattle are receiving balanced vitamin and mineral nutrition during their most demanding time. Begin feeding three to four weeks prior to calving and continue until three to four weeks after bull turnout, then return to Step 1: Supremix Summer.

Feed at 75 to 100 grams per head per day.

Feeding Directions

Mixing and Feeding Instructions: Thoroughly mix this premix with grain and forage at a rate of 0.73% of the diet dry matter to provide monensin at 22 mg/kg in the daily diet dry matter. For complete, grain rations, mix 10 kg of this premix with 950 kg of barley, 50 kg of soybean meal, 5 kg of Limestone, 5 kg of Salt, and 1 kg of DynaK. Feed the resulting grain mix at a rate of 8.8 kg per head per day, to cattle weighing 600 kg and eating 2.0% of their body weight as dry matter. DO NOT FEED UNDILUTED. Thoroughly mix this premix into the total daily diet or into the complete feed (grain portion of the diet) prior to feeding.

1. Do not supplement monensin from other sources (eg. Other feedstuffs containing monensin or slow release devices containing monensin). 2. No withdrawal period or milk withholding time is required when treated at the recommended dose of 22 mg monensin per kg (0.0022%) of complete diet. 3. When mixing and handling monensin, avoid inhalation, oral exposure and direct contact with skin or eyes. Use protective clothing, impervious gloves and dust mask. Operators should wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. 4. Keep out of reach of children

1. Directions for use must be carefully followed. 2. Do not exceed recommended levels as reduced average daily gains may result. 3. Do not use this feed in association with another grain ration, supplement or premix containing supplemental selenium. 4. Do not use monensin-medicated feeds for the treatment of outbreaks of coccidiosis. 5. Do not allow dogs, horses or other equines or guinea fowl access to formulations containing monensin. Ingestion of monensin by these species has been fatal. 6. May be used in feeds containing the pellet-binding agents Bentonite (2%), Attapulgite (2%), Kaolin (2.5%), Lignin Sulfonate (4%), Carboxymethlycellulose (0.1%), or Agri-Colloid.
